Shalom and happy Sabbath!
There is a question for us to answer silently, “Have we sincerely prayed and searched the Word? Do we only pray when we are about to eat and read the Bible once a week or read it in a hurry?”
Whatever our answers may be, let’s read what the pen of inspiration writes, “Satan well knows that all whom he can lead to neglect prayer and the searching of the Scriptures, will be overcome by his attacks. Therefore he invents every possible device to engross the mind.” (The Great Controversy 519.2)
Therefore, let us ask in our prayers today that we will not neglect sincere prayers and searching of the Scriptures.
Thus, “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)
Do not forget to search the Word of God and memorize Bible verses as the psalmist says, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)
God bless us. Amen.
