One day, I saw a disabled person selling newspapers at a traffic light intersection.
As we all know that today newspapers are not selling well as they used to be because now many people like to view or read news via the internet.
When I see that there are still people with disabilities but selling newspapers without complaining, I just think what about me? I am not disabled and do not need to sell newspapers, but often complain instead of giving thanks to God.
From this experience I remembered two Bible verses that say, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 – KJV)
The next verse says, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings” (Philippians 2:14)
Therefore, let us always give thanks and not grumble. Have we given thanks today?
