To answer the question in our title, let’s look at the answer in the book of Messages to Young People p. 189 paragraph 2 which says, “The Bible is to be our light, our educator.” (Messages to Young People 189.2)
Why is the Bible? For Psalms 119:105 says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalms 119:105)
The Word of God is a light for our path so that we do not go astray, but go on the right path.
The Bible is our teacher because “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
Therefore, let us read God’s Word every day, not just on Sabbath. Why should it be every day? Because that is what will light our paths and teach us to keep walking in truth.
