I Need Jesus

On this Sabbath, Grow ministry would like to share a song lyrics:

I need Jesus, my need I now confess
No friend like Him in times of deep distress
I need Jesus, the need I gladly own
Tho’ some may bear their load alone
Yet I need Jesus
I need Jesus, I need Jesus
I need Jesus every day
Need Him in the sunshine hour
Need Him when the storm clouds low’r
Every day along my way
Yes, I need Jesus

Now, let us ask ourselves!

Do we feel that we “need Jesus every day?” Or do we feel that we need our cell phones, money, a partner, and other things more compared to Jesus?

If we think that we don’t need Jesus in our lives, then remember about what Jesus said, “For without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

Therefore, it is crucial for us to cling onto Jesus thoroughly because ”The more difficult your position, the more you need Jesus.” (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 4, 544.1)

Without Him we can do nothing. We cannot rely on our own strength and thoughts.

Why?

For thus saith the Lord, “Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” (Jeremiah 17:5, 7)

For “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.” (Psalms 118:8-9)

Therefore, let us put our hopes and surrender all our lives in the hands of the mighty God.
