Happy Sabbath!
Have we ever had a favorite sin and then repented and after several days, weeks, months, or years but then repeating our favorite sin again?
If not, praise the name of God who gives us the strength to overcome each of our beloved sin.
If so, then pray to God and ask Him for strength. “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.” (2 Peter 2:20)
Why? Because usually if we are addicted to something and then repent and do it again, it will be even worse for our addiction.
It is the same as the testimony of people who are addicted to watching pornographic films who say if they stop watching and then watch it again, their addiction will get worse and it will be harder to stop.
And those who used to eat unhealthy food, then stopped but then got back to eat what they used to eat. It will be harder to stop than the first one.
Is that right? Yes, that’s the testimony they gave.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4: 7
Let us stay away from sin, don’t get involved anymore, get closer to God through fellowship, prayer, and reading the Bible.
But if we fall into the same sin, then repent and ask God to help you to overcome that sin.
May the Sabbath blessings be a part of all of us.
